PRESENTATION OF THE COMPUTERIZE PLATFORM AT SEGUCE DRC

It was held this Friday, February 12, 2021, in the meeting room of the Congolese Institute for the Conservation of Nature (ICCN) the Presentation Workshop of the CITES Computerized Management Platform (CITES Mangement Informatic System - CMIS) with the Single Window Service for Foreign Trade (SEGUCE).

This meeting is part of the popularization of the Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) to state agencies involved in the fight against fraud, on the other hand within the framework of the development of the interaction between the computerized management platform (CMIS) set up by the Coordination of the CITES Management Body and that of the Single Window for Foreign Trade.

At the end of the presentations and discussions, the experts from the Congolese Institute for the Conservation of Nature and those from the Single Window for Foreign Trade agreed to appropriate IT solutions within their reach to interchange their data, because the two state structures each have an operational IT platform,
thus dispelling any misunderstanding that has persisted in the past. The next step will be the technical meeting between their IT experts to set up the format for exchanging said data which will lead to the signing of a Collaboration Protocol between the two entities.
